The Wescom Annual Meeting

Details

The 2024 Annual Meeting will be held in a hybrid environment at 6 p.m. on March 27, 2024. The meeting will take place at the Wescom Operations Center, 5601 E. La Palma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92807. 

Attending the meeting gives you the chance to exercise your rights as a member-owner of the Credit Union. In addition to showcasing the Credit Union’s 2023 financial performance and accomplishments, we will be electing four (4) Board Members to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors. Attendance is free. You must be a member to participate.

 

How to Register

Members interested in viewing the meeting through a virtual broadcast must pre-register by March 21, 2024, at 5 p.m. You can register by clicking the RSVP link below. After registration and member confirmation, we will provide you with secure login instructions closer to the meeting date.

Election

In accordance with the Credit Union’s bylaws, the Nominating Committee has nominated four (4) individuals for four (4) vacancies on the board of directors to serve three-year terms. The nominees have agreed to serve if elected:

The following members have been nominated for election to the Board of Directors: Pouria Abbassi, Tim Dolan, Jessica Guiterrez, and Brad Selby.

Qualified members may also be nominated by petition. A petition must be signed by 500 Wescom Credit Union members and include a statement of qualifications and biographical data. Requests for petitions or more information may be made to Ofelia Reyes at oreyes@wescom.org. Petitions must be submitted by January 15, 2024, at the following address: Wescom Credit Union, Attn: Nominating Committee, c/o Ofelia Reyes, 123 S. Marengo Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101. There will be no nominations from the floor. In accordance with the Credit Union's bylaws, the election will not be conducted by ballot unless there is more than one nominee for each position. Each member is entitled to one vote for each position to be filled. Votes may be cast in person at the Annual Meeting or by proxy. If the Board of Directors has your proxy, then it will be voted in accordance with your authorization unless you revoke it by a subsequent proxy, or otherwise in writing, or by attending the Annual Meeting.

Do I need to register or sign up to attend the annual meeting?

Members interested in viewing the meeting through a virtual broadcast must pre-register by March 21, 2024 at 5 p.m. To ensure we provide the best experience for those attending, we ask that you register to receive secure online meeting access instructions. You do not need to register to attend the meeting at the in-person location. 


When will I receive the link to the meeting?

We will email you the secure login instructions closer to the meeting date. The email will be sent to the email address provided during registration.


Will I have to purchase or download anything to view the meeting virtually?

There is no Zoom software purchase necessary to participate in the Annual Meeting and you do not need to create an account with Zoom to participate in the Annual Meeting. If you choose to participate in the Annual Meeting using your computer, tablet, or smartphone, you may be prompted to download the Zoom software to view the video feed from the Annual Meeting.

If you choose not to download the Zoom software, you can still participate in the Annual Meeting using the ‘For Telephone,’ directions provided when you receive your registration confirmation email. These instructions provide dial-in phone numbers that can be called from a landline or cellular device.


When should I arrive for the virtual annual meeting?

Please join 10-15 minutes early. If this is your first time attending a Zoom Virtual Meeting event, you can test your connection prior to attending the Annual Meeting here: https://zoom.us/test.


Do I have to use a computer to view the annual meeting virtually?

No. Your registration confirmation will include instructions on joining the meeting using a PC, Mac®, iPad®, iPhone®, or Android device, and telephone (landline or cellphone*). Using a computer, tablet, or smartphone with the Zoom software will allow you to see and hear the Annual Meeting. Members choosing to only dial in by phone (landline or cellphone*) will not be able to see the meeting video feed or have access to all participation options offered through the Zoom software.

What if I have technical difficulties trying to attend the annual meeting virtually?

Will I be able to ask questions at the virtual Annual Meeting? 

No, the virtual meeting will be ‘broadcast only,’ meaning you will be able to view and listen into the live meeting, but not able to actively participate. To actively participate, please attend the meeting at the in-person location.
