What is Fingerprint / Touch ID?

Fingerprint and Touch ID Login is the biometric fingerprint authentication technology available with Apple devices such as iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and 6S, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, or newer. As well as Android devices on operating system version 6.0 (Marshmallow) or higher with a compatible fingerprint sensor.

What is Face ID?

Face ID is an Apple facial recognition system on the iPhone X, used for authentication.

Why use Fingerprint Login or Touch ID or Face ID?

Fingerprint, Touch ID or Face ID are meant as a quick, secure and convenient way to access your account.

How do I Enable or Disable Fingerprint Login, Touch ID or Face ID?

To manually Enable or Disable Fingerprint, Touch ID or Face ID, go to the application Settings and click on Fingerprint, Touch ID or Face ID option.

If my phone has multiple fingerprints registered, will they be able to access my account?

Yes, all saved fingerprints on your device will have access to your account.

How do I keep my phone further protected?

We recommend you add a passcode or security lock to your phone to further secure access when the device is not in use. In addition, keep your phone software up to date, including your Wescom application.

If the device doesn't recognize my fingerprint, can I still view my account?

Yes, you will always have the option to manually log in using your Account Number/User ID and password. You may also have the option to enter your iPhone passcode when prompted.

Can an account be enabled for Fingerprint, Touch ID or Face ID on multiple devices?

Yes, an account may be setup on multiple devices.

If I lose my phone, how do I remove the Fingerprint/Face ID access to my account?

Fingerprint and Face ID can be disabled remotely with the Find My iPhone feature for Apple devices and by visiting the Android Device Manager website for Android devices. Please refer to the Apple site or Google for instructions.
